The firm was established in Modena in 1996 on the initiative of Ing. Luigi Luppi, and experiences rapid growth both in turnover and in number of professionals, soon establishing its presence also in Milan and Bologna.
Over the course of the following 10 years, Luppi & Crugnola rapidly expanded thanks to the unparalleled contribution of Ing. Luigi Luppi, who took care of the supervision, coordination and control of the Firm's activity, in parallel with its involvement as a patent professional. Luigi graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bologna and was a member of the Italian group of AIPPI, of the College of Consultants in Industrial Property, of FICPI and of the European Patent Office qualifying examination (EQE) - Examination Committee II (electricity - mechanics). Luigi was also author of essays and studies in the field of intellectual property and brilliantly dealt with Intellectual Property throughout his whole career, that ended following his untimely death in 2007. His vision and initiative are the pillars of what Luppi Intellectual Property is today.
The firm was established in Milan in 2011 following the acquisition of the historical firm of Ing. Coloberti, that has been for decades a reference point in the Italian patent and contentious landscape thanks to the high technical skills of its professionals.
LUPPI & CRUGNOLA and COLOBERTI & LUPPI join forces to offer their increasingly demanding customers services at the highest levels of quality and competitiveness in the field of intellectual property.
Soon after the establishment of LUPPI LEGAL, the sister law firm specialized in intellectual property, a brand restyling and a new corporate image is developed, together with the updating of both companies’ website.
