Following two years of legal practice at a firm specialized in Civil Law and having obtained a Master’s Degree in Innovation and Intellectual Property Development, in 2003 Maria Antonella began to work as a trademark attorney, obtaining the relative license shortly thereafter. As attorney-at-law, she deals mainly with trademark protection, with a particular focus on the impact of new technologies on the protection and valorisation of corporate identity and services. She is concerned, among other things, with the defence of trademarks on the internet, the transfer of domain names, the removal of digital content and the support in exploiting and protecting digital material protected by copyright. She is a Residential Affiliate of the Information Society Law Centre (ISLC) at the “Cesare Beccaria” Department of the University of Milan.
